Wow. Just wow. Look no further than these amazing, nice, and extremely helpful folks. I set up a FREE call and Mike gave me a jingle at the scheduled time. In 10 minutes he had diagnosed the issue and gave me quotes transparently, with all of the costs laid out. Of course it's going to be expensive it's a home repair. But instead of ending the call and letting me pay them after their service, he gave me some tricks to try. Wouldn't you know it, my fireplace started working again. I'm a business owner myself and a HUGE stickler for customer service. When my gas fireplace was reported to have a serious CO1 leak and was turned off, I started looking for help. I called several companies that were all too busy and generally not helpful. I was really surprised to be having such difficulty finding someone to help me. I'm thrilled that I found Midtown Chimney. Someone came out within a couple of days. The tech was nice but really didn't have great news and told me that my entire unit needed to replaced. He took some photos and said that he would have a quote in a day or so. Two days later Midtown called and said they were missing some photos and would like to come out and double check everything for the quote. This time two very knowledgeable techs came out and didn't just take more photos, but did another total evaluation. They understood that my fireplace is the main source of heat for my place and that $5K for a new unit is not in my budget right now. They are now trying to see if they can find parts (30 year old unit) to do some repairs to give me another 12-18 months to prepare my budget for a new unit. I'm so impressed with their customer service and their very caring nature. Thank you for impressing someone who is not so easily impressed these days. Midtown Chimney will always be Martinis Bistro's go to company for these services.

We just bought a house this summer that had an incredible amount of build-up in the chimney (the previous owners must have rarely, if ever, had it cleaned). It ended up being Stage 3 Creosote (a bigger job than a standard chimney cleaning), and so Mike and his team consulted and worked with us so we could feel comfortable doing the PCR cleaning. They went above and beyond to explain everything to us, do thorough cleanings (whether the standard sweep or the needed PCR cleaning), and work with us to resolve the problem as best as possible. I was also lucky enough to have Byron as my service tech who walked me through all my fireplace needs, and costs. Very thoughtful of my financial situation and provided affordable options (even provided a discount). Byron also went above and beyond by climbing up on the roof to help fix a leak that was not a part of the reason he came out in the first place. I was having work done on my chimney by my roofing company and needed to have my chimney swept as well. My roof is a stone coated metal roof and can not be easily walked upon. At the suggestion of my roofing company, I tried to get a chimney sweep company to come out at the same time so that the service person could be shown how to properly walk on my roof without damaging the shingles. One company was patronizing regarding this request, and several other did not bother to respond to the message that I left. However, Midtown Chimney Sweeps not only respected and understood my request but made it possible for the work to be scheduled and completed while the roofers were there. I recently called Midtown as there was some concrete crumbling around my chimney. Alice the owner arranged to have Cole come out. He was so nice, polite, knowledgeable and professional. He also suggested that he look at the inside of my chimney for any issues. He ask if it had ever been cleaned since it hadn't he recommended that it be done. Cole's coworker Matt who saw his truck stopped to see if he could help and together showed me what they thought would fix my chimney issue. Cole then expertly cleaned my chimney taking out the gas logs and cleaning them as well. I had no idea that gas fireplaces needed cleaned. I didn't know this level of customer service still existed. Jason was fantastic. He thoroughly cleaned our pellet stove and figured out why it hasn't been working well. We wanted to get our fireplace inspected for any cracks and cleaned before winter. I found Midtown Chimney Sweeps on an internet search. Made the appointment and when they came they cleaned what was a very dirty Chimney. We had them take photos of the stack and the top. Fortunately we had no problem in the stack because that would have been a safety issue. We did have some cracks on the crown so we have asked them to seal it so water could not get in. This company was about as professional as you can get from the first call to the payment of the bill. We will have them out again to maintain our fireplace on going. I've been so impressed with this company! After getting a new water heater installed, we were told by a city inspector that our century-old chimney wasn't lined and, thus, not up to code. YIKES! Luckily, Midtown Chimney Sweeps was able to come out within a few days for a FREE estimate, and then within a week to get the work done for a very reasonable price. They have been prompt, friendly, and fair, and their customer service is excellent. They are quick to respond to all questions and explain everything clearly. They installed the liner over the weekend and called first thing this morning to tell us that they want to send out one of their master technicians to double check the work because he wasn't 100% satisfied after inspecting the pictures. We replaced vacuum switch, proof of fire switch and temp limit switches but still having the same issue. We even bench tested our auger motor. After coming to inspect our fireplace once, we were given the impression that they would be back very soon, as the parts that needed to be replaced would be ordered fast.But after two weeks of radio silence, I called back, and was told they would find out what's going on, & call me back. If you are looking for a chimney company Midtown Chimney Sweeps is the place to call.Three years ago this October we moved into our 1970's home with the original wood burning insert in one of our two fireplaces. We called out a company to come clean the chimney so we could use it in the upcoming fall/winter months and the guy wouldn't even touch our fireplace because of the insert. After his very brief (and unhelpful) visit we felt at a loss, thinking our only options were to spend thousands to get a new insert or to never use our fireplaces.We decided this year that we would do whatever it took to get our fireplace in working condition again so we called Midtown for a second opinion. Josh came out and did a thorough inspection AND cleaning of both our chimneys. Turns out both of our chimneys are in excellent condition and we have options to utilize both fireplaces right now without having to buy a new insert. Very hard working , were careful with the installation and kept the living room and exterior of home clean. Byron Schramm owner of Midtown is the 'ultimate professional', full of so much stove/fireplace/chimney/venting/airflow and wood knowledge that it was almost comical. He installed a freestanding stove in our LR, improved on the height of the chimney to get full efficiency, project managed the fabrication of proper heat shields, installed a fresh-air intake and then did some similar in our office space. We have four fireplaces in our house and believe me we keep them busy.We just had this new three sided peninsular fire place installed (see photo) in a new bedroom remodel. When I called Bryon in December needing to get the stove installed to move forward on the remodel timeline, he was so accommodating in trying to push the installation up in the busiest month of November/December. The stove was installed as scheduled It all worked fine. After all the masonry work/painting etc. was done; HE (Byron) CALLED ME to suggest they come out and just recheck everything, clean the new stove, and finalize the setup. What impressive follow-through.We scheduled a follow-up visit for one week later at noon. ( By the way at noon on the appojnted day, two trucks pulled up in our driveway just as scheduled).We added maintenance/servicing/cleaning of our two other fireplaces, as well. So Byron brought Jason to help! Jason was very skillful, excellent to work with and is another owner of one of the offices. They were both careful about cleaning, putting sheets down on carpets, no banging walls or doors. I was amazed at how careful and respectful they were with our home!!Our new fireplace works like a champ and I have great confidence in the safety and function of these fireplaces. I called Midtown Chimney Sweeps after a bad experience with A Clean Sweep and was extremely happy with the service.Midtown Chimney Sweeps were very responsive and set up an appointment for less than a week away at a set time (not an arrival window). The day of the appointment, there was a snowstorm that prevented the tech from safely getting up on the roof, so we were rescheduled for the next day with no trouble. The tech was on time and worked very efficiently--even with thoroughly answering all of my questions, he was done with the full cleaning and inspection (including video) within an hour. He left the house as clean as it was when he started and the price was set and reasonable (and cheaper than A Clean Sweep's quote!).

We recently moved into our cabin in Fairplay, CO and we had an inefficient wood fireplace. After much research we purchased the Ambiance Elegance 36 EPA Wood Fireplace from Inglenook Energy Center in Conifer, CO. Midtown Chimney Sweeps was one of the install company's they recommended. Midtown's Technicians (Byron and Josh) were very patient with all the questions we asked. They installed the fireplace 3 days ago and were on time and very attentive to taking care of our personal property. The fireplace is fairly new on the market and when there were questions they reached out to the vendor to insure all safety and warrantee issues were addressed. At the end of the day they took time to explain the operations and maintenance and care of the fireplace (as we have never had an enclosed firebox). We received a follow up call the next day from Byron, to see if we had any issues or additional questions. From the moment I called I had a good feeling about it and it was borne out.We started the replacement process with another outfit, but they managed to be pushy while not showing up at agreed-upon times so I'm glad we found Midtown.Immediately after we ended the first call, Byron sent a calendar invite, listing my information, job details, and of course time and date. He kept it updated throughout the process so I always knew where to look. Even with slight schedule adjustments he kept it correct. No other woodstove installer I called for quotes came close to this level of professionalism.On the day of the install, they arrived promptly when they said they would, did the work in a timely and meticulous fashion, and stuck to their quote. They were clean, courteous, and professional. Even with some minor setbacks (my stovepipe being a bit weird) that required them to get parts, they went out to get them while the rest of the team continued to work. I expected a bit of a delay but they got done early.After the woodstove install they walked me through the break-in period and answered any questions I had.We are very happy with the woodstove they installed and look forward to using it this Winter and for years to come. My experience with Midtown Sweeps was primarily through their employee, Jason Allen, who was polite, efficient and knowledgeable. The top of one of my fireplace chimneys had blown off during a major windstorm which is common in Evergreen. I also had a problem with a woodpecker getting in the chimney and wood-pecking on it at all times of the day and night. Jason efficiently climbed on the roof and replaced the chimney top and we had a fun discussion about woodpeckers. If Jason represents Midtown Sweeps as a typical employee, then I recommend the company at a high level and would recommend the company to anyone who needs chimney support.
