It’s refreshing to be able to have an experience where you work with a professional who really understands what it means to provide service. Having just moved into a new home I’ve had my share of encounters with professionals as in regard to moving things, setting up things, installing things, etc. Kurt Matthews of Midtown Chimney Sweeps was far and away the most professional individual I encountered. He was friendly, punctual, communicative, and most of all he knew what he was talking about. When we ran into issues where the previous owner of the home did not provide adequate access to important safety equipment Kurt and I, had a mini meeting in my living room, where he explained all the options. We decided on the less intrusive of which, and within a few hours I have a working, beautiful, safe fireplace. Thank you, Kurt!

Mike and Alice are very personable and have been super helpful every step of the way. My wife and I were looking to upgrade a faulty, unusable gas fireplace in our family room and, with great guidance from Mike and Alice, we picked a wood burning stove insert from Regency. Mike has come by multiple times to make sure we are comfortable with its use and has had great tips and tricks for getting the most out of our fireplace. We are very happy with the work and the service we have received. I highly recommend working with them! They give you quality work and stand by it.

Jody and Christopher were absolutely exceptional. They were prompt, punctual, and extremely professional—while also being personable and easy to communicate with. From the moment they arrived, they treated my home and personal space with complete respect. Before any work began, they carefully prepped the area, covering floors, rugs, furniture, and the entire workspace to ensure everything was fully protected. Their attention to cleanliness and detail immediately gave me confidence.
The project took place over two days, and throughout that time they remained focused, diligent, and hardworking. They kept me informed every step of the way, clearly explaining what they were doing and what to expect next. Their proactive, customer-first communication style made the entire process smooth and stress-free. I always felt up to date and fully aware of the work being performed.
Even though chimney cleaning and repair can naturally involve dust, noise, and odors, Jody and Christopher went above and beyond to be as minimally intrusive as possible while still working efficiently and effectively. Kurt took our fireplace from totally unusable .. to a wonderful working fireplace. He is a master at his job. A true craftsman. Our home is over 100 years old. We bought the home because we wanted a fireplace. However whenever we lit a fire, even a duralog. Our home was filled with a smoke smell. Kurt restored our fireplace to perfection. He is always there for you. Answers any questions. You cant find any person more qualified than him

Excellent job. My chimney had creosote build up which affected my ability to burn cleanly. Derek cleaned and inspected everything and was able to clear the stack so I can use my wood stove again without sooting. Very grateful! Highly recommend.

The technician was right on time and did a clean and thorough inspection and job with our gas fireplace. I only can recommend these guys.

Byron and his team were extremely helpful when I discovered some serious fireplace problems when I moved into my home. He took the time to educate, listen, and fix my fireplace quickly!

We have lived in a 250 year old dutch farmhouse for the last 26 years. One of the fireplaces was so poorly reconstructed, most likely from the 50-60's that we could never use the fireplace. I called Kurt at Midtown and he suggested a wood-burning insert stove . He suggested a contractor to help with closing-in the fireplace hearth so that it seamlessly would receive the wood stove. They had to be pretty creative in how to make this work, and were really patient and focused on getting the best look possible for the age of the house.
In the first month after having the wood burning insert installed, we have used it at least 20 times. Its super easy to fire, draws great, and warms the room fantastically. My wife is thrilled... which is saying something! Nice work Midtown Chimney. We couldn't be happier.

Mike did a great job repairing shoddy work done by another vendor before him. After finding switches on 3 of my propane fireplaces had their safety wires removed he went about repairing and bringing all of them up to code and working order. Everything works great now. Thank you!

I can not begin to tell you how happy we have been with Stephen! I'm a denver designer and he has helped me on a few projects now. His attention to detail and wanting whats best for the customer is top notch! I recently had a client who had 3 fireplace professional out and all of them said they needed to replace the whole unit. Stephan cam ein and fixed it in a matter of 2 days and saved them so much money! 10 out of 10

We have had Levi twice now. The first year Levi came and did an amazing job not only for me, but my father as well. Levi is timely, professional, but my favorite personable. The other thing about MTCS is their website works and the phone staff is great as well. Levi just cleaned our Kuma wood stove for this year and once again showed up prompt with a friendly personality. He got right to work and did another fantastic job. Lastly, MTCS and Levi not only does a fantastic job, but their pricing will beat the pants off of anyone in our area. Thank you Levi and MTCS for being phenomenal at what you do.
