Our Warranty Inspection Program is designed to provide peace of mind with an affordable, convenient monthly payment of just $8.25 (equivalent to $99 annually, billed monthly).

What’s Included in the Warranty Inspection Program?

Annual Inspection by a Certified Technician: We’ll schedule a convenient appointment for one of our certified technicians to visit your home and perform a thorough visual inspection of your fireplace, appliance, or venting system to maintain your warranty.

Comprehensive Visual Check: From the ground, our technician will inspect your chimney or appliance for:

● Cracks in masonry products (flues, hearths, fireboxes).

● Signs of failure in metal or stainless steel components, such as rust, thinning metal, or discoloration.

● Buildup of soot or creosote to assess cleanliness and safety.

  • Customer Education: We’ll provide guidance on proper use of your appliance, including air control settings, fuel selection, loading techniques for solid fuel appliances, or gas log placement and air shutter adjustments for gas appliances.

  • Escalated Service (if needed): If our technician identifies a potential issue, they may, at their discretion, perform a rooftop inspection to further investigate (note: rooftop inspections are not standard in the $99 annual fee).

When Do You Need a Warranty Inspection?

This program is essential if Midtown Chimney Sweeps has recently:

● Installed a new stainless steel liner, gas fireplace, wood stove, wood insert, wood fireplace, pellet stove, or pellet insert.

● Performed a Prior Fire Fireplace retrofit or Heat Shield flue repair.

These products and repairs typically require an annual inspection to maintain the manufacturer’s warranty.

What Happens if Cleaning Is Needed?

If your system is found to be excessively dirty (e.g., level 2 or 3 creosote buildup), our technician will recommend one of two options:

● Join a Membership Program: Upgrade to one of our subscription plans—Lint Eliminator (monthly fee for dryer vent cleaning), Hearthkeeper (monthly fee for fireplace cleaning), or Flue Guardian (monthly fee fireplace and dryer vent cleaning)—and we’ll clean your chimney during the visit.

● One-Time Cleaning Fee: Pay a one-time chimney sweep fee (at a 5% discount off our standard rate) to have your chimney cleaned on the spot.

Important Note: If you’re already a member of our Flue Guardian, Hearthkeeper, or Lint Eliminator subscription plans, your annual warranty inspection is included—no need to enroll in this program separately!
